Since 1965 Kurt Patzlaff have been active in the "rock hobby". Kurt Patzlaff is one of the last to the preservation of the rock hobby and gem cutting in particular. Early on Kurt Patzlaff began achieving workshops at Brooksvale park in Hamdon CT. From 1976 1992 taught gem cutting and gem identification at the University of Bridgeport.

Over the years Kurt Patzlaff has taught well over 1,000 people how to cut Gem's.

In Massachusetts workshops were held at the Metal-werx in Wolburn and several were done at the Mass College of Art

Work shops over the years were held yearly at the craft centers in Connecticut. Brookfield craft, Guilford craft Farmington Arts, Wesley and Potters and Silvermine Art Centers. If you are interested let the craft centers know and maybe they will schedule a date for you.
